Crisp help develop the MIDAS Touch
Crisp Professional Development, the specialist business skills training wing of Exeter based Crisp Group having been working closely with one of their major clients the MIDAS Group to evolve and deliver a comprehensive training and career development programme at – The Midas Academy.
The Midas Group is one of the UK’s fastest growing independent property solutions providers, generating over 80% of its annual £200 m turnover through long term partnerships and repeat contracts.
With this factor very much in mind, the company saw the development of a professional and empowered team as essential to its continued success and long term growth.

Although Midas Group had consistently enjoyed a good track record in encouraging organic growth from within its workforce, the need to formalise and strengthen the fast-track career development programme throughout the organisation led to the launch of the Group’s own internal training Academy.
Working closely with Crisp Professional Development, the Midas Academy programme has been structured across three levels and covers the complete range of training needs, from operational and best practice skills to leadership development and business acumen.
‘Our work with MIDAS has involved getting to understand the needs of the construction industry, and tailoring our programme to fit, whilst still maintaining the accreditation through the Institute of Leadership Management,’ comments Bill Allen, Crisp’s Business Improvement Specialist, ‘it has been both challenging and rewarding, and especially gratifying to see the changes in the delegates on the course, and know you are helping to shape the future of Midas.’
An upper ‘Apex’ level of the Academy has been further developed to give senior managers within Midas the leadership, management and business skills needed to progress to Director level. So far over 25 senior Midas managers have already started the ‘Apex’ level of the Academy.
The training programme is underpinned by the ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) a nationally recognised and highly regarded qualifications awarding body. Crisp Professional Development has full ILM accreditation and centre status.
