'Marketing through a downturn' - Crisp Group's Breakfast Seminars strike a chord with Southwest Businesses
The Crisp Marketing Solutions division of Exeter based Crisp Group recently completed a regional programme of Breakfast Seminars around the theme of ‘Marketing through a downturn’. Conceived of as a positive challenge to the declining economic situation Crisp staged four events throughout September in Truro, Plymouth, Exeter and Taunton.
Themed around an inspiring presentation by Crisp Chairman and Marketing Expert Russell Crisp, the FREE breakfast events offered delegates an opportunity to confront any uncertainty about their marketing activity and identify ways in which to react positively to face the challenges ahead. In addition to the presentation, the events presented a chance to share experiences, attend 1>1 marketing clinics and generally network.
The events proved to be very successful with over 150 delegates booking to attend these four events representing a wide range of business sectors and the reaction by the delegates was very positive.
"I think the breakfasts certainly hit the right note at the right time”, commented Russell Crisp, “we were able to highlight some ways through the negativity that the credit squeeze has been creating and encourage positive thinking and good marketing practice – it was gratifying to discover that unlike the last major downturn, South West businesses were not planning to cut marketing expenditure but rather look for ways to be more pro-active!’"
Russell went on to add “Events have certainly now overtaken the situation we all faced in September with even harder challenges ahead but we feel that by getting out and meeting regional businesses we are better placed to help”.
The success of the Breakfast Seminars and positive reception has encouraged Crisp Marketing Solutions to run further events in January and February 2009.
